We have been resting, hiding, praying, and getting over jet lag. I am sitting in a coffee shop now and it is the most amazing thing to be able to understand what people are saying around me. I think the reverse culture shock is no easy task, and I miss our Japan church family like crazy. Why suffering, God? We will.

Thursday, 11 September 2008. Jo and I are back in Canberra, Australia, for the next little while. What have we been doing? Joey has been looking cute. I have been indulging my sporting side. Seeing the sights of Canberra in winter. I went to Bega and Merimbula for a week with my students. Saw an oyster farm and factory. There are a mum and baby seal on those rocks in Twofold Bay, Eden. Our new dog Jock! .

Thursday, May 29, 2014. There is no rhyme or reason to the order of these pictures! Just know, it was hard, fun, challenging, scary and amazing! Would I do it again? Ask me in a couple months! Lol This hike was 9. 5 miles and there were 12 of us that hiked. On the way out, he smoked Ben and I. Ha! It took us almost 8 hours with rapelling in 3 different spots! Ben is super bus.

Ben, Joy, and Baby Sunshine. Sunday, May 10, 2009. She weighed exactly 7 pounds and was 19 inches long. This past Thursday was her 2 week check-up. She is a very healthy baby. She now weighs 8 pounds and is 21 inches tall. She is starting to get chubby cheeks and a double chin.
